Overview
Pre-booked transfers reduce stress after a long flight.
Public transit is often efficient.
How it typically works
- Confirm what's included. Tours and transfers vary in pickup, entry fees and group size.
- Check reviews from recent visitors. Opening hours and prices change often.
- Save confirmations offline. Phone signal and Wi-Fi can be unreliable at busy sites.
- Book popular sights early. Timed tickets for major attractions can sell out weeks ahead.
- Arrive early. Security lines at major attractions can be long.
Key considerations
- Peak seasons are crowded. Shoulder seasons often mean shorter lines.
- Dress codes apply at some sites. Religious sites often require covered shoulders and knees.
- Beware of unofficial sellers. Buy attraction tickets from official sites or well-reviewed operators.
- Cancellation policies vary. Read refund terms before you pay.
- Language matters. Ask whether guides speak your language fluently.
Before you request a recommendation
- Your budget range.
- Any accessibility or dietary needs.
- The best way to reach you.
- What you'd like to see or do.
- Your preferred language.
Warning signs
- Ticket sellers outside official channels.
- No clear cancellation policy.
- Requests for payment by wire or gift card.
- Prices far below everyone else.
- No reviews from recent visitors.
